Yvonne Rae Sears was born on August 29, 1944 to Donald and Tracy (List) King in Yankton, South Dakota. After awhile, the family moved to Culver City, California where Yvonne would grow up. In 1962, she graduated from Culver City High School. Yvonne moved back to South Dakota and worked in her parents’ family grocery store in Lesterville. She later worked in child care, with the elderly, and for a time at Hy-Vee and Goodwill. She enjoyed visiting with the public and customers while she worked. She loved her faith, family, grandchildren, and her chocolate.
Yvonne passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Avera Sister James Care Center in Yankton, South Dakota having attained the age of 73 years.
She is survived by her three children: Angela (Larry) Navratil of Tabor, SD, Anthony Sears of Lesterville, SD, and Elizabeth (Corey) Kramer of Canastota, SD; grandchildren: Jilliann Navratil, Joslynn Navratil, and Amanda (Casey) Comstock, Ashley (Adam) Hoffman, Katie (Sam) Harris, Ethan, Preston, Mason, Paige, Kinleigh, Brayden, Hayden, Hayleigh, and Brynleigh; great-grandchildren Koen and Grayson and sister Donna Lee King of Corvallis, OR.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gordon Evenson, and brothers: DeWayne King, infant Dennis King, and infant Donald King.
