Vivian Gall, age 90, passed away Friday, March 28, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society-Scotland.
Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Monday, March 31, 2025 at Scotland Community Church.
Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the church.
Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Scotland. Casketbearers are Vivian's grandchildren, Derick Gall, Samantha Gall, Sydney Kepplinger, Kory Kepplinger, Taylor Weber, Trenton Weber, Cheyanne Cope, Jordan Gall, Zoe Gulker and Trinity Aldridge.
Vivian was born Thursday, March 28, 1935 to Frederick and Hilda (Handel) Zeeb. She was baptized July 21, 1935 and confirmed June 19, 1949 at Menno Salem Reformed Church. Vivian went to Zeeb Country School and graduated from Menno High School in 1953.
Vivian became the bride of Vernon Gall, on June 3, 1956 at the Salem Reformed Church in Menno, a loving marriage lasting 65 years. The couple was blessed with two children, Fred and Vicki. They had a blessed life on the family farm raising crops, hogs, cows, and chickens. Vivian was a farm wife and homemaker making sure the farm men and anyone that stopped by never went hungry. Vivian spent many hours volunteering and loved babysitting her precious grandchildren. Vivian and her sister Irene enjoyed sewing and made many quilts and rugs. Vivian loved “having coffee” and hosted many card and coffee parties with the Lesterville ladies along with friends from near and far.
Vernon and Vivian moved to “town” leaving the farm December 1, 1989 and buying a house in Lesterville. They then moved to the Good Samaritan Society, Scotland, in May of 2020. Vivian and Vernon loved to travel! Some of their favorite trips included bear hunting in Canada, visiting friends in Germany, an Alaskan cruise, and a vacation to China.
Vivian is survived by son, Fred (Tricia) Gall of Lesterville, SD; daughter Vicki Aldridge (Michael Suhr) of Jefferson, SD; grandchildren and their families, Derick (Samantha) Gall of Sioux City, IA, Sydney (Kory and great-grandchildren, Brewer and Faye) Kepplinger of Kaylor, SD, Cheyanne Cope (great-grandchild, Courtney) of Elk Point, SD, Taylor (Trenton) Weber of Parkston, SD, Jordan Gall (Zoe Gulker) of Lesterville, SD and Trinity Aldridge of Nemo, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, brother and husband, Vernon.
