Todd Rothschadl, 58, of Elko, Nevada (formerly of Tyndall, South Dakota) died on July 30, 2018 in his home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at St. Leo Catholic Church, Tyndall with Fr. Joe Forcelle officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Leo Catholic Cemetery, Tyndall.
Todd was born on January 14, 1960 to Ken and Marilyn (Kocmick) Rothschadl in Tyndall. He grew up on a farm near Tyndall. Todd attended Bambas country school until the eighth grade and was part of the 1978 Tyndall-Tabor High School. He was known for his wrestling career. He received many awards, such as placing 3rd at the State Wrestling Tourney in 1978.
For a time, he worked for a grain bin company. Throughout his life, he worked in various coal mines in Rapid City/Lead area. Later, he moved to Elko, Nevada where he did construction for many years. He loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his parents, Ken and Marilyn Rothschadl of Tyndall; brothers: Dan (Lisa) Rothschadl of Tyndall, Dennis (Sandy) Rothschadl of Omaha, NE, twins Michael Rothschadl of Yankton, SD and Patrick (Norma) Rothschadl of Whitesburg, GA, and Rodney (Charity) Rothschadl of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters: Teresa (Steve) Vavruska of Tyndall and Tammy (Jerry) Mesman of Springfield, SD; 14 nieces and nephews; and 3 great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Emil and Leontine Rothschadl and Adolph and Rose Kocmick.
