Thomas  Olson

Thomas (Tom) S. Olson, of Scotland, SD, formerly of Springfield and Burbank, SD, passed away on June 25, 2015, at the age of 64.
Tom was born on November 13, 1950, the first child of Cecil and Doris Olson of Burbank, SD. While growing up on the farm, he developed a deep love of nature, music, his country, and family. He attended Fairview Country School, Vermillion High School, and The University of South Dakota, earning a B.S. Degree in Education. He worked at CR Industries in Springfield for a number of years.
Tom is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Dave Winckler of Vermillion, SD, nieces Jessica (Doug) Sanders of Tyndall, SD, Amanda Winckler and Sandi Winckler, both of Sioux Falls, SD, and Sadie Winckler of Vermillion, SD, along with seven great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Doris Olson, sister Linda Verros, brother Wayne Olson, and his grandparents Stephord and Belva Olson and Alex and Bertha Ernst.
A family service is being planned for a later date.
