Tami Jo Meisenhoelder

Tami Meisenhoelder, age 57, of Tripp, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Sanford USD Medical Center.

Tami Jo (Halvorson) Meisenhoelder was born August, 15, 1963 at St. Joseph Hosp. Mitchell, South Dakota to Herman and Agnes (VanderPlaats) Halvorson. She graduated from Tripp High School.

On May 23, 1986, Tami married Brian Meisenhoelder at Phoenix, Arizona. Tami was employed as a CNA at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center, the Human Services Center in Yankton, and the Bethany Nursing Home in Phoenix, Arizona. She also worked at Lonnie Mayer's Bar Carmical's for several years.

More than anything, Tami loved playing with her grandchildren. Tami was always interested and tried to be at all of her children’s sporting and school events. She had an appreciation for the Native American culture and collected many Native American pictures and items. She enjoyed gardening and working outside. Tami also liked watching NASCAR, racing and hockey.

Tami had a strong willed personality. She was always involved with her family and will be remembered for her happy -go-lucky attitude.

Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Brian; three children, Josh(Christina), Kala, and Kara; her mother, Agnes Halvorson; her brother, Todd (Kelly)Halvorson; three grandchildren, Raelynn Meisenhoelder, Joseph Meisenhoelder and Clark Stranger; and other numerous family members.

She is preceded in death by her father, Herman (1986), a brother, Tim (1980), and grandparents.
