Sharon Kay Waldner

Sharon Kay Waldner, 52, of Huron, SD, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2021 from complications of COVID at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. She was surrounded by her family and will be missed by many.

Sharon was born January 30, 1969 and grew up in Highmore, SD. She adored playing with her fur babies Tippy and Kilo. She enjoyed working on her fairy gardens and spending time in her “she shed.” Sharon had a great love for life and an even greater love for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orvin Rittel in 1976.

She is survived by her mother, Marlene Rittel of Yankton, SD; brother, Gary Rittel (Nadine Madsen) of Yankton, SD; fiancée, Duane Engel of Huron, SD; nephews, Christopher (Amanda) Rittel of Gayville, SD and Dallas (Cheyenne) Rittel of Billings, MT; many great nieces and nephews and many special friends.

No services will be held at this time, with a celebration of life planned in spring/summer 2022.
