Ronald Lee Hausman

Ronald Lee Hausman, age 71, died Friday, October 13, 2023 at his home in Yankton.

Visitation will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. wake, Wednesday, October 18 at Goglin Funeral Home in Yankton.

Memorial Mass is 11 a.m. Thursday, October 19 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Yankton.

Ronald was born, July 15, 1952 to Lloyd and Lucille (Stoller) Hausman at Yankton, SD. Following graduation from Yankton High School, Ron joined the Marines, serving from 1970-1974.  When he returned home, he worked for several years on the family mink farm east of Yankton, until its closure. Ron then went to work for Yankton Redi-Mix, eventually completing a 15-year career with Knife River in the ready-mix concrete division, retiring in 2019. Each summer, during River Boat Days, you could count on enjoying teriyaki food at his booth.

Ron was a kind, loving father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Ronald is survived by significant other, Carla Bruder of Yankton; daughters, Autumn Hausman of San Diego, CA and Christine (Nick) Shudak of Yankton; grandkids, Cooper, Sophia, Noah, Olivia and Isa of Yankton; sister, Betty Lou Davenport of Las Vegas, NE; mother of his daughters, Deb Hausman of Yankton; brother-in-law, Roger Marken of Bridgewater and 12 nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lucy Hausman; brother, Gerald (Dixie) Hausman; sister, Connie Marken; nephew, TJ Hausman and brother-in-law, Deb Davenport.
