Robert Eugene Jones

Uncle Bob was born in Winnebago, NE to Clementine “Lily” Jones. He graduated from Yankton High School in 1976.

Robert did many different careers during his life and lived in many places. Most recently he was working in the maintenance department at Vortman’s Dairy, a division of Kroger.

Robert will be remembered for his big smile, joking happy personality. Others would say he was gruff and to the point. He took pride in his home and did many of the upgrades and improvements himself. You could find him doing his woodworking, cooking on his BBQ in his back yard or just sitting on his porch, smoking a cigarette.

My godfather loved his cars. He was a respectful, caring, funny guy; a loving person and could light the dimmest room. He will be missed greatly. He was here for a great time, by the wide array of people he touched in his lifetime.

Robert is survived by his 2 godsons, Owen Warren of Camp Lejeune, NC and Kyler Greger of Yankton, SD. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clementine “Lily” Jones; his beloved dog, Cleo; many relatives and friends.
