September 27, 1990 — September 19, 2021

Memorial Service for Richard A. “Richie” Frischkorn Jr., 40, of Yankton, South Dakota, will be 12 PM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.Family will receive friends 10 AM – 12 PM Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Richie went home to be with God and his mom, whom he missed tremendously, on September 19, 2021, surrounded by family who loved him. Born September 27, 1980 in Willoughby, Richard lived in Eastlake, prior to moving to South Dakota. He graduated from Eastlake North High School in 1999. Him and his sister, Maggie, were inseparable and their bond was unlike any other. At the age of 18, Richie was diagnosed with Lupus. Despite his diagnosis, he continued to do things he loved such as fishing and hunting with his dad, camping, and spending time with his cousins whom all were like siblings to him.

In 2003 he met the love of his life Ceryneh (Sarah). Three years later, they surprised the world with the birth of their son, Nickolas. Richie became a full time dad and in 2008 he and Ceryneh were married. In August 2010, Richie and Sarah welcomed their second child, a daughter, Nancie, named after his late mother. Richie loved being a dad more than anything, but he also made time to obtain an Associates Degree from the University of Phoenix.

Richie spent countless hours uplifting those who also struggled from Lupus in the social media community. In 2016, Richie relocated to Yankton, South Dakota to be with his children. Though Sarah and Richie were separated, they remained a family unit and their children enjoyed growing and learning from both parents.

Throughout his life, he remained faithful to his Catholic roots and would pray daily. As years went on, Lupus took its toll on Richie, making some of life’s simple pleasures difficult to enjoy. Richie was a warrior and the strongest man you’d ever know, beating all the odds time and time again.

Survivors include his children, Nickolas and Nancie Frischkorn; father, Richard A. Frischkorn Sr.; sister, Margaret (John) Parks; partner-in-life and best friend, Ceryneh; parents-in-law, Belinda and Jeff; He also leaves behind his sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy A. (Miller) Frischkorn. Final resting place will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon
