Ramona E. Chambers, 'Mona', age 82, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Tyndall Good Samaritan Center.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 26 in the Tyndall Good Samaritan Center Chapel. Interment will be at Friedens Reformed Church Cemetery, Tripp.
Ramona was born July 14, 1942 in Tyndall to Esther (Michaelsohn) and Emanuel Hauck. She graduated from Tyndall High School in 1960. She did 1 year of beautician school then ran her own beauty salon until it burned down. Mona helped run a couple of turkey farms and also had dairy cattle with Bob. She worked as a CNA, Activity Director and in Social Services, all at the Good Samaritan Center in Tyndall.
Mona married Robert L. Chambers on June 10, 1962. She loved to bake. Mona made the best popcorn balls, read books and painted on anything she could find like pumpkins, saw blades and other items. She also sewed clothes for her granddaughters. Mona loved her grandkids and great-grandkids very much. She was an active member of St John's Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Aid. She helped wherever they need assistance.
Mona is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Chambers; children, Sherrill Chambers and Brian (Carrie) Chambers; grandchildren, Crystal (Scott) Chambers, Heather (Calvin) Chambers, Dylan Chambers and Jessie Chambers; great-grandchildren, Samuel Brandsgaard, MaKayla Chambers and Brooklyn Sund.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Esther and Emanuel Hauck and brother, Vernon Hauck.
