Marcella “Sally” Ida Scheetz

Marcella (Sally) Scheetz, 92, formerly of Tripp, died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Firesteel Nursing Center, Mitchell.

Marcella was born August 19, 1928 to Paul and Ida (Bierwagen) Neugebauer. She married George Scheetz September 4, 1945. They farmed in the Parkston area until purchasing the Old Bell Motel and moving to Tripp in 1961. She enjoyed listening to polka music, quilting, and was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Sharon), Elk River, MN, Richard (Patricia), Omaha, NE and Cynthia (Randall) Carpentier, San Diego, CA; her grandchildren, Mason (Mary) Scheetz, Andover, MN, Julie (Chad) Brunette, Coon Rapids, MN, Ryan (Jennifer) Scheetz, Omaha, NE, Addison Scheetz, Tucson, AZ, Kyle Carpentier, San Diego, CA, and Kristin Carpentier, Seattle, WA; her sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn (Richard) Deeds, San Jose, CA; her aunt, Edna Bierwagen, Sioux Falls, SD; her sister-in-law Evelyn (Scheetz) Reinfeld, Millersburg, PA; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, George; parents; brother, Ruben (Agnes) Neugebauer, and sister Frances (Ervin) Lindeman.
