John James LaSella

John LaSella, age 57 died Wednesday September 12, 2018 in Avera McKenna Hospital after battling cancer.
John James LaSella was born May 18, 1961 in Bridgeport Connecticut to John and Gail LaSella. He grew up with his family in Milford Connecticut.
John was married in the mid-1980s and lived in Wallingford Connecticut where they had 2 sons, John III born on March 30, 1987 and Joshua born on July 17, 1989.
John was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 5, 1997 in Amherst Massachusetts. He enjoyed sharing his Bible based hope for the future with his family and neighbors.
John met Cinthia Kearns in Bennington, Vermont and they were united in marriage on October 6, 1997. They lived in Vermont until moving to Parkston, SD in 2002. John worked at Mitchell Manufacturing and Trail King.
John loved all his family members, especially his mother Gail, he loved fishing for bluefish in the ocean, enjoyed his hobby of Ham radio and was excited to obtain his Extra class license. John also loved auctions, camping, and tinkering with mechanical things. One of his favorite things was to share his Bible based hope with his neighbors in the Parkston area.
John also leaves his mother, Gail, brother Bill LaSella, sisters Susan LaSella and Judy Baldyga (Ray), stepsons Jerome Foster, Jeremy (Fia) Foster, Stephen Foster, Grandson Waylon Foster, lifelong friend Paul Matar and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John.
