Genevieve "Teenie" A. Liebsch was born Dec. 8, 1925 to Charles Davis and Clara Bentley-Davis in rural Brookings, SD. She graduated from Volga, SD high school in 1942. She worked at the creamery in Volga after she graduated. She moved to Renton, WA and worked as "Rosie the riveter" for Douglas Aircraft until 1945.
She also worked for Northwestern Bell in Sioux Falls, SD as a long distance phone operator.
Teenie married her high school sweetheart, Edmund Louis Liebsch, on June 28, 1947 in Ortonville, MN. Of this union two children were born, Susan Lynn (Tom) Olson and James E. Liebsch.
They lived in Sioux Falls, SD together until Edmund entered his heavenly home on July 9, 2014. Due to a fall Teenie moved to Tabor, SD and lived with her daughter, until her passing.
Teenie entered her heavenly home on March 15, 2018.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Tom) Olson, Tabor, SD; her son, James E. Liebsch, Yankton, SD; one granddaughter, Tanya Heinzman of Sioux City, IA; two grandsons, Jonathon J. Liebsch, Los Angeles, CA and Stephen C. Liebsch, San Diego, CA; 4 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, her parents Charles and Clara, her stepfather Ansel Nesheim, one brother Gaylord, two sisters, Helen Lengkeek, and Lorraine Anderson, and her beloved daughter-in-law Kris Liebsch.
There will be no burial at this time.
