Esther Emma Gall was born on Aug. 30, 1925, on a family farm near Scotland, South Dakota to William and Margaret Magstadt. She died on June 30, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society – Scotland.
On May 4, 1947 she married Aldon (Al) Gall at Petersburg Church near Scotland. Esther worked at various places in Scotland and was a long-time employee at Mtron in Yankton.
Esther loved to do needlework and play pinochle. Most of all she loved to entertain and be with family and friends.
Esther is survived by daughter Kay (Rob) Perschau, Kansas City, Mo.; son Wayne Gall, Huron; grandsons Justin Perschau, Kansas City, Mo., Mark (Dawn) Perschau, Kansas City, Mo.; Dustin Gall, Sioux Falls, and Lance Gall, Sioux Falls; great grandchildren Angela, Jaden, Jace and Arianna Perschau, Kansas City, Mo.; brother-in-law Marvin Gall, Lake Andes, Emil (Betty) Gall, South Carolina; sisters-in-law Arlene Gall, Scotland, Doris Gall, Yankton, Betty Gall, Grand Island, Neb., Delores Nelson, Yankton, Eileen (Joe) McIntyre, Las Vegas, Nev., and Margie Novak, Mitchell.
She is preceded in death by husband Al, her parents, infant daughter Sharon, infant grandson Nathan Perschau, infant brother; brother Elmer Magstadt, sisters Alta Orth and Laura Orth; brothers-in-law Jake Orth, Pete Orth, Ray Gall, Richard Gall, John Gall, Clifford Gall, Eugene Wollman, Lou Nelson and Joe Novak; sisters-in-law Ethel Magstadt, Geneva Gall, Mary Jane Gall and Olive Wollman.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the United Church of Christ, Good Samaritan Society in Scotland, or to a charity of your choice.
