Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Ashley, 77, of Yankton, SD, passed away on August 14, 2024 after a 25-year battle against Parkinson's Disease.
Beth was born on December 27, 1946 to Otis Keith and Mary Louise Tichenor in Baraboo, WI. Beth and her younger sister, Louise were raised in many places around the country, as her father was an active member of USAF.
Beth was blessed with 4 children during her life, James, Christopher Brent, Jennifer, and Joshua.
Beth enjoyed spending time with her family and her amazing circle of friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed going for walks and drives, and loved to cook. Beth liked movies and especially movie popcorn. One of Beth's favorite activities was to feed birds and squirrels and watch them from her living room or kitchen windows. One of the founders of the Yankton Area Banquet and also a proud member of AA since 1993, Beth's caring and compassionate way was an inspiration to many in the community. Her faith also played an important role in her life.
Beth passed peacefully at Avera Majestic Bluffs of Yankton and was predeceased in death by her first husband, Herbert R Dean; infant son, Christopher Brent Dean, and her parents.
She is survived by sons, James (Tammy Kuxhouse) Dean and Josh (Kelsey) Irish; daughter, Jen (Nick) Johnson; grandsons, Caden, Harrison and Winston Irish and Gabe and Jed Johnson; sister, Louise (Michael) Karpicus; niece, Sarah (Erika) Violet, and nephew, Matthew Karpicus.
