Eldora Magstadt was born on May 7, 1928 to Fred and Louise (Lippert) Schneider in rural Delmont, South Dakota. She graduated from Tripp High School in 1946. She was also awarded honors for her woolmaking skills. On October 16, 1949, she was united in marriage to Roland Magstadt in Parkston, South Dakota. Together they made their home nine miles northeast of Kaylor. Eldora was a farmwife and mother.
In 1992, they retired from farming and moved into Tripp, South Dakota. She enjoyed leisurely walks and gardening. She had a great sense of humor. Every year she looked forward to Halloween when she could dress up and attend friends' parties.
Eldora passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society of Tripp at the age of 89 years, 2 months, and 8 days.
She is survived and remembered by daughter Dawn Magstadt of Yankton, SD; brothers: Dale Schneider of Winner, SD and Glenn (Karen) Schneider of Pickstown, SD; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, parents, and brothers: Donald, Melvin, and Harvey.
