Edward John Haase

Marine and teacher Edward Haase’s love of life didn’t come to an end with his death. Edward passed away on January 4, 2022 at the age of 94, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

He was born on June 24, 1927. At a young age he was drafted into the Marines. After serving in WWII, Edward completed his Master’s Degree of Philosophy at Columbia. He then spent early life teaching elementary English and math. He continued his passion for education by selling educational courses for ICS company. Later in life he also found passions for land and carpentry.

He married the love of his life, Esmeralda, December 8, 1992. Together they had one child: Harrison.

Edward loved his family, provided for them, and gave them unforgettable travel experiences. He will be remembered and surrounded by love ones who will continue to honor him.
