Donald Buchholz

Donald Ray Buchholz was born on July 11, 1938 to Erwin L. and Bertha (Guthmiller) Buchholz in Tripp, South Dakota. He graduated from Tripp High School. For most of his life, Donald made his home in Tripp. Throughout the years, he worked as a farmhand on many local farms, mowed grass, painted houses and also worked at HSC for a time as a Physical Aide. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Donald could sing, play the guitar, and also the piano by ear. He also treasured his mischievous dog, Babe.
In September 2013, due to his failing health Donald became a resident at the Good Samaritan Society of Tripp. It is there he passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2017 having attained the age of 79 years, 5 months, and 19 days.
He is survived and remembered by sisters Arlene Nyreen of North Sioux City, SD and Lillian Hauck of Creswell, OR; brothers Rudy Buchholz of Tripp, SD and Gerald Buchholz of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lonnie Buchholz, and sisters Shirley and LaVonne.

Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date.
