David Joseph Reiser was born in Tripp, South Dakota on Wednesday, May 22, 1929 to Frederick and Jennie (DeVries) Reiser. He served in the Army during the Korean War from 1951 through 1953. During his younger years, he did construction work on the dam and also worked for an egg producer in Yankton. David worked for many years doing farm work for his brother-in-law and other farmers in the area. David died on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Sioux Falls at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 9 days.
He is survived by four sisters: Agnes Neugebauer of Parkston, Mary (Willard) Fuerst of Parkston, Rose (Norbert) Neugebauer of Ethan, and Dorothy (Jerry) Smith of Riverside, California; two brothers: Edward Reiser of Dayton, Texas and Benjamin Reiser of Riverside, California; and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
