Cynthia Lou Nord passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Cindy was born August 15, 1960 in Milbank, South Dakota to Darrel and Marion (Thomas) Nord. The family moved to Sioux Falls, where she lived most of her life.
Cindy attended school in Sioux Falls. She graduated from Washington High School. Later, she completed post secondary school at Kilian Community College with a paralegal degree.
Cindy had one son, Joshua Gilmore from her marriage to Doug Gilmore.
She had a brief work history due to illness. She worked as a paralegal for AAA collections until her health declined. Prior to that, she held various jobs, the longest employment was at John Morrell.
Cindy Lou had many great qualities but, it was her quick wit and sense of humor combined with being stubborn that carried her through many difficult challenges.
She enjoyed music, visiting with friends and family, art and reading.
Cindy loved chocolate, coffee and cigarettes. She reluctantly gave up cigarettes several years ago.
Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Joshua Gilmore, her grandson, Darius, brother, David (Judy) Nord and sister, Elizabeth (Craig) Hubner.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, and 2 sisters, Diane and Debbie.
