Beverly Ann Larson, 67, of Yankton, SD, went to meet her Lord on Friday, Oct. 23, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Her body was donated to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct 28, at 10:00 a.m. at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yankton, SD. A second memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31 at Faith Lutheran Church in Spicer, MN.
Beverly was born to Marjorie Toombs and George Faehnrich on July 21, 1948 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in MN and graduated from Staples High School in 1966 and from Mt. Marty College (Yankton, SD) in 1989.
On February 25, 1967, she was united in marriage to Gary Larson. To this union three children were born. They later divorced.
Bev worked various jobs throughout her life. Bev enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, fishing, swimming, camping, biking and participating in Relay for Life. Bev was always active within her churches, as they were her second family. Bev loved holidays and baking for everyone. She acted in several plays at school and in her community. Bev loved volunteering her time to various organizations and friends. She was loved and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her three children and eight grandchildren; John Larson and his children Matthew, Sarah; Mark Larson and his children Brady, Taylor, Alexander; Christine (and Steve) Hunt and their children Halee Doty, Emily and Lauren Hunt; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents and other relatives.
Memorials are preferred.
