Aaron Stoebner was born on January 31, 1932 on a farm near Tripp, SD to Gottlieb and Emelia (Winckler) Stoebner. He attended a one room, country school in Kulm township through 8th grade and had three brothers and a sister. Aaron grew up with a very strong work ethic and farmed his entire life. He took great pride in the various livestock and field crops that he raised over the years.
Aaron was united in marriage to Elverna Schulz on November 16, 1952. Five children were later born to this union.
From January of 1953 to November of 1954, he served his country in Korea as a bulldozer operator, constructing roads and bridges for the US Army. After his military service, he returned to farming until he retired. Over the years, Aaron served on the Rural School Board, the Oak Hollow township board, and the Farmer’s Elevator Board. He was a member of Friedens Reformed Church where he taught high school Sunday school, served on the foundation and on other committees.
In 2006, Aaron and Elverna moved to a home in Tripp, SD. In the fall of 2014, they moved to the Tripp Good Samaritan Center.
